The Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax - TN, Chennai, proposes to draw a panel of suitable and eligible candidates for filling up the following post on deputation basis :

Eligibility Criteria : 
For Senior Hindi Translator :
Officers/Officials of the Central Government -
(a)  (i) Holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department;
       OR
       (ii) with the five years service in the rendered after appointment in the posts on the regular basis in the Pay Band - I of Rs.9300-34800 and Grade Pay of Rs.4200 or equivalent in the parent cadre or Department; OR AND
(b) Possessing educational and other qualifications laid down below

Educational Qualification :

Master's degree of a recognized University in Hindi or English with Hindi or English as a main subject at degree level
OR
Master's degree of a recognised University in any subject with Hindi as the medium of instruction and examination with English as a compulsory subject at degree level
OR
Bachelor's degree with Hindi and English as main subject or wither of the two as medium of examination and other as a main subject plus recognized Diploma/Certificate Course in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa or two years experience of translation work from hindi to English and vice versa in Central/State Government Offices included Government of India undertakings.

For Junior Hindi Translator : 

Officers/Officials of the Central Government -
(a)  (i) Holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department;
       OR
       (ii) with the three years service in the rendered after appointment in the posts on the regular basis in the Pay Band - I of Rs.5200-20200 and Grade Pay of Rs.2400 or equivalent in the parent cadre or Department; OR AND
(b) Possessing educational and other qualifications laid down below

Educational Qualification :

Master's degree of a recognized University in Hindi or English with Hindi or English as a main subject at degree level
OR
Bachelor's degree with Hindi and English as main subject (which includes the term compulsory and elective)
NOTE 1 : Those candidates who have passed Bachelors of Arts (Honours)  in English or Hindi with Hindi or English as a subsidiary or Master's in language subject are eligible for the post

NOTE 2 : Candidates must ensure that they have studied English and Hindi as main subjects and not a proper in all the three years of Bachelor of Arts pass course.

Age Limit : Max 56 years.
