A combined competitive examination in different categories of Engineering will be held by the UPSC at different cities across the country commencing on 20th June 2014 in accordance with the Rules published by the Ministry of Railways in the Gazatte of India Extraordinary dated the 22nd March 2014. Recruitment on the results of this examination will be made to the Services/Posts under the following categories :
1) Civil Engg.
2) Mechanical Engg.

3) Electrical Engg.
4) Electronics & Telecommunication Engg.
The number of vacancies is expected to be 582 including 24 PH vacancies in various departments.
Age :  21-30 years on 1st January, 2014
Educational Qualification : A candidate must have a degree in Engineering from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature OR passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institute of Electronics and Communication Engineers(India).
Fee : No Fee for Female/SC/ST/PH and for others Rs.200/- is required to pay by cash in any branch of SBI or by using Net Banking facility of SBI or its associated banks or by using Visa/Master Credit /Debit Card.
